It has finally arrived…

For a while now I wanted to have a scoreboard of good quality. I came across a good deal on RUCRAFT where I could get “Crafter’s Companion” scoreboard AND an enveloper too. It arrived today from UK… Yay…

Have a look…

It came packed well (I was a little apprehensive) and this is how the products look. These surely are going to reduce a of trouble for me when I craft.

Give Away – 1

For a long time now I was thinking to share some thing with my fellow bloggers. I wondered though what it could be. Then recently I came across some very nice handmade paper sheets and instantly I knew I could share these. Also I punched out some paper cuts and gathered some other embellishments which you might like to use for your work. Hope you would like these things. Have a look…

These are nine handmade paper sheets with different textures, approximately A4 size. Along with these sheets you also get a handmade paper envelop which can hold these sheets. Cub made it specially for you.

image

These are some punch outs I made for you. They are of assorted colours & sizes and made from card stock. Punch outs are of flowers, butterflies, stars, snow flakes, teddy bears, hearts and umbrellas.

These are wooden embellishments and some sea shells.

All these goodies are packed and waiting to be sent to one lucky person.

So, how do you get this booty? No, you don’t have to follow my blog or like my facebook page. Neither you have to make “link back” post on your blog nor you have to put anything related to this give-away on your blod side bar.

You just have to comment on this post stating you are interested in receiving this goody bag. That’s all. Seriously!

I will do a lucky draw at the end of ~15 days i.e. On 10th of July 2012. So this is open till mid-night 10th July 2012 (IST). I will announce the winner name the next day and will post this booty in a couple of days. In case, that person is unable to send me address in two days time, I will pick up another person.

Now, happy crafting and happy commenting fellow crafters. Ciao…

P. S. This “give-away” is open for people residing in India only.

P.P.S. I could have used plastic mini bags to pack punch outs and other things for better vanity but Up-cycled handmade envelops did the same job. I din’t want to use plastic unnecessarily. :-)

Ghosty Handmade Birthday Card

Cub again has to go to a birthday party tomorrow and this party has “Horror Theme” [yeah, I know she is  partying a lot, sigh!!!]

Well, so for this “horror theme” birthday party, I came up with a “ghost” birthday card for the birthday girl. Have a look…

To make this card, I used:

  • Black glittered handmade card stock for base
  • White card stock on which I hand-drew cute little ghosts and printed Casper
  • Maroon Card stock for door, attic window glass, smoke coming out of chimney and “happy birthday” wish tag
  • Red and Black Glitter pens to make those tiny bats and to make out line of those ghosts and their eyes
  • Black Rhine stones for ghost eyes
  • Coir twine for pull-out tag
  • “Happy Birthday” stamp from Varna’s creation
  • Black “Crystal Craft Ink” for stamping
  • Ek Scallop punch to punch-out my stamp

Hope you like it.

Also I have now started branding my cards too (earlier I used to do it with just “Sakhi” at the back of the cards). I got my own stamp designed by Tejal and I am pretty happy with the results. Since I am still awaiting its clear stamp version from Varshitha, to brand this card I took a print-out and punched with scallop punch. Have a look…

Ciao, till we meet again with some new craft…

Princess Card

Cub has to go to a birthday part in the evening and the theme is “princess”. I made a pricess birthday card for her friend. Have a look…

The collar flips open to give the peep inside. See how it looks from inside…

This is completely hand drawn. I have used hsndmade card stock, some ribbons and some other embelishments.

What do ya say guys?

P.S. This card is inspired by Shruti’s this card.

Phew…

I have been struggling to manage my card stock and other paper collection. Everytime I want some paper I would have to go through different piles of bags where I used to store them. Not only it was irritating, this way of storing papers damaged those lovelies and took a lot of space in my, already cramped, craft cupboard. Finally I thought of taking matters in my hands… ;)

I went and bought myself two cardboard box files and a lot of (50 to be precise :D ) transparent sheet protectors. Organised and re-organised papers and finally I was happy with my decision. I could also find a lot of paper scrap which I had hoarded for long and could be used… These are now safely and neatly placed in one of the protectors and are easily accessible. Take a look at my new, organised paper mountain :D

Nice, hun? I should have taken “before” picture too… Well, now not possible ;) Now, let me show you some inside story…

Well, I am quite happy with myself… ‘pat on my own back’ … Hee hee…

Let me tell you something else. For quite sometime I wanted to buy acrylic blocks for stamping but was unsble to procure it. These are available Online but the shipping cost was more than the block itself. So I decided to do something about it. I went to a neighbourhood Glass and Hardware shop, got a couple of 12″ thick glass blocks cut and got the edges rounded. Voila, my stamping blocks were ready. He gave me one free too as it was a waste for him. So in 110 Rupees I got three glass stamping blocks. I know, I will have to be a little careful while using it since it is glass but for now my need is satisfied. Take alook at my new acquisition.

So, that’s all for now. Will be back soon.
